Foltaazje is a creative production studio.
It’s run by a small team of producers who care deeply about sound, process and the people behind the music. For us, music isn’t just content — it’s something you build, shape and take seriously.

The studio is located in a historic theatre in Leeuwarden, over 225 years old. That history is still present in the space. Warm, slightly imperfect, lived-in. Combined with modern, high-end equipment, it creates an amazing working environment that feels grounded rather than intimidating. People often describe Foltaazje as calm, safe and focused. A place where it’s easy to concentrate and take creative risks.

At the core of Foltaazje is more than fifteen years of experience in music production. Coming from a strong background in electronic music, we’ve worked with a wide range of artists, from local talent to top tier international acts. In recent years, more and more artists find their way to Leeuwarden specifically to work here. Drawn by the pace of a smaller city and the direct, hands-on way we collaborate.

Alongside production work, we actively invest in talent development. We host writing camps, masterclasses and offer personal coaching for people who want to grow: musically, technically and professionally. Not through fixed formulas, but by meeting people where they are and helping them move forward with clarity and confidence.
We support artists and organisations throughout the creative process. From production and recording to development and refinement. Whether you’re working on a single track, a larger project or looking for guidance, we offer hands-on collaboration, clear communication and a focused way of working, efficiently and with attention to detail — without losing the human side of making music.

STUDIO 1
Equipped with a high-end speaker setup, hardware synthesizers, effects and microphones, this is the perfect place for modern music production.

LIVEROOMS
We have two live room spaces, a drum booth and a vocal booth.
Liveroom 1 combines a vintage-minimal atmosphere with soft lighting and well-balanced acoustics, creating an environment that feels focused without being restrictive. Its flexible layout allows for different setups, making it suitable for recording sessions, video productions and creative workshops.
The second liveroom space includes a fully dry drum booth, balanced room acoustics, a curated selection of amplifiers, drums and an acoustic piano. It is fully soundproof and equipped with two isolated amp cabinets, giving artists the freedom to work at any volume while keeping the environment controlled and comfortable.
STUDIO 2
Perfectly balanced acoustics and an exceptional listening environment are what make this space truly unique. It is ideally suited for mixing, mastering and high-quality electronic music production.
